The best cost/quality in town: Escuela Oficial de Idiomas
Drassanes located at Av. De Drassanes between C/ Nou de la Rambla
and Arc de Teatre off the bottom of the Ramblas. Everyone takes the
placement exam 10am and at noon on the 7th floor. Bring your passport.
And then there's a lottery to see who gets a spot. Classes are 8 hours/week.
Mon-Thursday 10-12 or 12-2pm. There are 5 levels. The cost is under

Organic
Vegetarian Restaurant and products c/Junto de Comerc 11, right off
of c/Hospital. For 7,50 euros you get soup, salad bar, and choice

Incredible vegetarian

Check out their beet colored humus salad, their veggie lasagna is
amazing, and their deserts are original and delicious. They only offer
a fixed menu for 8€.

Looking for things like cranberry sauce and chutney
and products you miss from the UK or US. Try Contemporary Food on
c/ Carme 66 en the Raval. Not particularly cheap, but a taste of home.
Sitges
It's in Barcelona and called
Sitges, c/ Can Sitjar (Going down Ramblas, make the
first right on Tallers and the first left onto Can Sitjar - it´s just
past la Oveja Negra). New, hip, comida del mercado. Worth checking
out. Evening menu starts at about 16 euros without drinks.
****Menage a Trois offers a wonderful lunch menu of unique combinations prepared really well for under 9euros. It is located in the plaza Vila de Madrid on the opposite corner from Decathlon not far off the Ramblas with a terrace, bar, and dining room. Hip ambiance, cocina de mercado. 93.301.5542
La Botiga on Av. Josep Tarradellas, 155 is a cloth napkin catalan restaurant for a reasonable price. You can eat a fancy-ish meal 12-24euros. Wheelchair accessible cozy downstairs. Not far from Avenida de Sarria and Francis Masia 93.410.2704
****Silvestre is beautiful, fancy, incredible cocina de mercado with great service. Wonderful for a romantic dinner, its located just below Via Agusta on Santalo, 101. Reservations are a must 93.241.4031. 25-30euros per person.
El Asador de Patrico . For family style traditional calcots, fish, anything grilled, right on the beach in Castelldefels . Tables inside and out. Make a reservation for a weekend table. A fun place to take a group of people for calcots. 93.664.3298. 20-28euros
Julius. All class. On San Joan de Borbo 66, not far from the beach. Very chic. Incredible presentation. Great services. Tables in the sun. They focus on little fish and seafood, as well as rice dishes. their secret is very shallow paella pans which make it so flavorful. 30-45euros. Barceloneta. 93.224.7035
