Holidays

September 11th is a holiday. La Diada. Schools that are open will be taking advantage of this puente (4 day weekend) because it is the only puente this fall.

September 24 is La Mercé. The list of performances has yet to be released. But will be accessible at www.bcn.es/merce very soon. There will certainly be castellers, an air show, sardanes, and free concerts through out the city, as well as a spectacular firework show above with the magic fountains of Monjuic to celebrate the patron saint of Barcelona. It is a holiday only in Barcelona, and banks will be closed.
